Job summary

Pocatello/Chubbuck School District No 25 in Chubbuck, ID seeks a Habilitative Skills Paraprofessional to support special education students in a nine-month, seven-hour workday.

Under supervision of a special education teacher and building principal, you will implement IEPs, assist with personal care, behavior interventions, and functional life skills, with potential exposure to body fluids.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 32 college credits toward a bachelor's degree.
• Alternatively pass the ETS Paraprofessional Praxis Assessment.
• Transcript copies must be uploaded with the application.
• Candidate will be placed on Level 5 of the salary schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist special education students requiring personal care, behavior interventions, life skills, and academics.
• Assist in implementing each student's IEP.
• Work under supervision of a special education teacher, classroom teacher, and principal.
• May be exposed to body fluids and potential risk from student behaviors.
