Job summary

Fulton County Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional to support students and staff in a Northwestern Middle setting. This role involves assisting with instructional materials, small-group guidance, and daily routines to reinforce learning objectives.

You will assist in lunchroom and bus duties, maintain attendance, and help prepare bulletin boards. Candidates should have a high school diploma, pass the GACE para assessment or have equivalent college credit, and pursue the required

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must pass the GACE para assessment; in lieu of the GACE assessment have 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours with a grade of C or better; an Associate's Degree or higher is acceptable.
  • Must be able to obtain Georgia PSC Paraprofessional Certificate.
  • 0–1 year experience required.
  • Classroom experience and/or proven ability to work with children preferred.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions quickly and accurately.
  • Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with students and adults.
  • Excellent organizational skills and flexibility.
  • If working in the Dual Immersion program, proficiency in spoken and written language of instruction.

  • Participates in required additional training related to the Dual Immersion Model if applicable
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.

Required Education
