Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 is seeking a para-professional to support students with disabilities under the direct supervision of a certified teacher.

You will assist with instructional activities, prepare materials, and help implement individual education plans in a collaborative classroom setting. Responsibilities include maintaining a positive learning environment, supporting non-academic routines, and communicating with families as needed.

Formación

• Assistants must work under supervision of a certified teacher.
• Experience with students with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to prepare instructional materials and adapt activities.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in instruction of students with disabilities under a certified teacher.
• Prepare materials for varied levels of instruction with teacher input.
• Support supplemental and follow-up activities to instructional content.
• Participate in conferences with parents/guardians when requested.
• Maintain good rapport with families and students.
• Help maximize interaction with non-disabled peers under supervision.
• Assist with modifications and accommodations to ensure success.
• Assist in communicating with staff, students, and families.
