Southwick-Tolland-Granville Regional School District is seeking a Paraprofessional to assist the Special Education Teacher in providing educational support to students at Woodland School in Southwick, MA.

The role requires an Associate degree or two years of post-secondary training, with two+ years of experience preferred and experience with children with disabilities. Includes PBIS participation and data collection responsibilities, with a focus on inclusion and accommodations.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate’s Degree or two years post-secondary training in education or related field.
• Two+ years of prior work experience preferred.
• Experience working with children with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the special education teacher to meet the individual needs of all students.
• Provide instructional assistance in selected skill areas.
• Collect data and implement behavior management program for designated children.
• Implement PBIS plans for students.
• Provide inclusionary support in classroom.
• Participate in Professional Development/training as needed.
• Provide support services and accommodations as recommended by related services personnel.
• Review and implement modifications and accommodations documented in student’s IEP.
• Provide support to students requiring Assistive Technology to access the curriculum.
• Be prepared to work with students whose disabilities may impact their behavior.
• Performs other duties as requested by Building Principal or Director of Special Education.
