Job summary

Performance Academies is seeking a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to support students at the Trotwood Preparatory and Fitness Academy. The role involves assisting teachers, delivering targeted instruction, and helping implement IEP goals in a structured classroom setting.

You will collaborate with staff, support behavior management, and help monitor student progress while maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Education preferred.
• Current Ohio Educational Aide Permit (or ability to obtain).
• Successful completion of required state and federal background checks.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, email, and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering classroom instruction and reinforcing academic skills.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group instructional support to students.
• Support students with disabilities in implementing IEP goals, accommodations, and classroom activities.
• Assist with classroom preparation, learning materials, and instructional activities.
• Help monitor student progress and maintain appropriate documentation as assigned.
