Job summary

IMDiversity is seeking a SPECIAL EDUCATION PARAPROFESSIONAL at Silver City Elementary in Georgia. The paraprofessional will support teachers in meeting the educational, behavioral, and social needs of students with disabilities.

Required qualifications include a GA Paraprofessional license and an associate degree or higher, or passing the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment with a diploma or HSE. The position requires reliability and ability to supervise students, including during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Assists with behavior and instructional support for students with disabilities.
• Maintains confidential student information and works cooperatively with staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group and/or individualized instruction to students with disabilities.
• Assist teachers with classroom management to create an effective learning environment.
• Assist teachers with the assessment of student performance and record-keeping tasks.
• Assist with development and organization of instructional materials for use with students.
• Perform necessary clerical tasks and other duties as assigned.
