Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Paraprofessional license or have passed paraprofessional assessment.
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint background check required.
• Background Clearance is required.
• Must be at least 21 years old (exceptions noted for some credentials).

Responsibilities

• Administers tests to support the teacher and instructional process.
• Assists students individually or in small groups with lessons and tasks.
• Implements enrichment, remedial work, and daily routines to reinforce learning.
• Maintains classroom equipment, supplies, and learning aids.
• Monitors students in classroom, playground, and during activities for safety.
• Reports observations and incidents to appropriate staff.
• Responds to emergencies to ensure student safety and directs to proper personnel.
• Supports teachers in instruction and classroom management.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
