Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 60 college hours completed or a DESE approved Substitute Training certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in adapting and presenting instructional materials and activities.
• Support individual students or small groups to meet targeted goals.
• Monitor and report student behavior and performance.
• Communicate progress with teachers and participate in needs assessments.
• Document observations and maintain written records.
• Escort and supervise students, ensuring welfare and safety.
• Guide students with disabilities in interpersonal skills and problem-solving.
• Maintain instructional files and comply with mandated requirements.
• Provide feedback on student progress to staff and stakeholders.
• Report health and safety issues to appropriate personnel.
• Support students in various educational settings and duties as assigned.
