Job summary

Sawtooth Elementary seeks a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with disabilities. You will work with teachers to implement IEPs, provide 1:1 or small group assistance, monitor progress, and promote inclusive learning in a busy classroom.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AA degree or Idaho Paraprofessional Exam completed.
• Experience with children with special needs in an educational setting is desirable.
• Knowledge of IEPs and behavioral management strategies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with IEP implementation and provide 1:1 or small group support.
• Monitor and document progress, behaviors, and needs for teachers.
• Support daily living skills and promote independence.
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt materials for diverse learners.
• Facilitate communication among students, teachers, and parents.
• Assist with behavioral interventions and maintain a safe classroom.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
