Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• In order to be highly qualified, must pass paraprofessional test or possess an associate's degree.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom instruction and classroom management under teacher direction.
• Supervise students in hallways, lunchroom, playgrounds and during assemblies.
• Assist in covering the class when the teacher is assisting another student or away from the classroom.
• Assist in proctoring tests and preparing instructional materials.
• Monitor student progress and communicate with teachers and parents as needed.
• Follow health and safety requirements for students needing medical support as applicable.
