Job summary

KEYS Academy, supported by Health Connect America, seeks a paraprofessional to assist teachers in a structured classroom designed for students with varied academic and social-emotional needs. You will provide academic and behavioral support, helping implement lesson activities and individualized plans to maximize instructional time.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and experience with children in educational settings; associate degree or paraprofessional certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree, paraprofessional certification, or coursework in education, psychology, human services, or related field preferred.
• Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or youth-serving environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support a structured classroom environment that promotes safety, dignity, and readiness for learning.
• Provide individual and small-group support to reinforce academic skills and learning activities.
• Assist with implementation of lesson activities and supports aligned with student IEP goals.
• Help students use instructional tools and online platforms used in lessons.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student success and consistent practices.
• Assist with supervision during transitions, lunch, and school activities.
