Job summary

Marietta City Schools - Sawyer Road Elementary School in Marietta, GA is seeking a Paraprofessional, Special Education to support students with disabilities under the supervision of the Special Education teacher.

The position requires an Associate’s Degree (or 60 credits) and experience with Autism or developmental delays; responsible for assisting with instructional activities, data collection, and behavior support, while maintaining student confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s Degree or 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours, or a passing Paraprofessional Assessment in Georgia.
• Experience: Working with students who display ASD or other developmental delays.
• Must be able to support students with disabilities and assist with IEP goals.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance and adheres to established work schedules.
• Assists teachers by providing one-on-one support for individual students as required.
• Teaches or assists students in developing social/emotional skills and other therapeutic activities.
• Prepares learning materials to meet individual learning styles.
• Maintains confidentiality of information regarding students and their program.
• Supports data collections and state reporting for student information and attendance.
