Job summary

Southeastern Massachusetts Educational Collaborative in Dartmouth seeks a Paraprofessional to assist teachers with classroom management, implement IEP goals, and support students with special needs. The role requires sensitivity, reliability, and strong communication with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Associate degree/equivalent or passing ParaPro test required.
• Experience with students with special needs and medical needs.
• Comfort providing personal care and behavior support to students.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of licensed staff, assist in implementing data driven, culturally responsive instruction, IEP goals and behavior plans.
• Maintains a diverse, respectful, organized classroom environment.
• Follows schedule and reassignments to program locations as needed.
• Develops inclusion procedures and communicates with host school staff.
• Completes required paperwork and participates in staff meetings and trainings.
• Drives program vans as needed for activities.
• Documents student incidents and 51A/DPPC reports under supervision.
