Job summary

Nashoba Valley Technical High School seeks a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to provide essential support to teachers and students with disabilities. This part-time, school-year, hourly position involves assisting with IEP implementation in both general education and specialized settings.

The paraprofessional will work in academic classes or vocational settings, maintain confidentiality, deliver tailored instruction, and collaborate with educators.

Qualifications

• Minimum – high school diploma or equivalent; and an Associates degree (or higher); or completion of 48 credit hours at an Institution of Higher Education; or completion of a formal Massachusetts endorsed assessment: Parapro or WorkKeys.
• At least 3 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Responsibilities

• Provide support to teachers and students with disabilities.
• Assist with IEP implementation in general education and specialized settings.
• Maintain student confidentiality and collect data on student progress.
• Deliver tailored instruction and foster social-emotional and academic growth.
• Collaborate with educators and implement behavior plans and IEP accommodations.
• Support in academic classes or vocational settings as assigned by the Special Education Coordinator.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree or 48 college credits

ABA training

3 years of relevant experience preferred
