Job summary

Cartersville City Schools seeks a Paraprofessional for Special Education (CPS, CES, CHS). The role is a SPED paraprofessional with an 187-day calendar and a pay grade 4; hourly rate varies by relevant full-time experience. Responsible for supporting SPED students and assisting teachers in classroom activities.

Reports to the Principal or designee. Minimum qualifications include an Associate's Degree or higher; or 2 years of college with 60 hours; or a HS diploma with the paraprofessional

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or higher; OR 2 complete years of college with at least 60 semester hours; OR High School diploma / GED and pass accepted Paraprofessional Assessment

Responsibilities

• Assists the teacher in daily classroom activities.
• Assists in maintaining a classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Assists in meeting individual student physical, emotional, and educational needs.
