Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a paraprofessional to assist teachers at Magnolia Woods Elementary in Baton Rouge. You will support students with disabilities, help prepare instructional materials, and supervise classrooms under supervision of certified staff.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, assisting substitutes, and aiding in behavior management and daily activities to ensure a safe, productive learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or 2 years of college with 48 credits.
• An associate degree or higher is acceptable for eligible applicants.
• Passing the Parapro Exam score (450) meets specified criteria.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom and supervise students.
• Assist with inventory, care, and maintenance of classroom equipment.
• Maintain administrative records and assist in reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Support students with physical disabilities, including transfers and positioning.
• Assist with feeding, bathroom needs, and personal hygiene after proper training.
