Responsibilities

Assist and guide students to reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics and computer instruction.
Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
Assist professional staff with administration and correction of tests and assessments.
Prepare classroom materials and reinforce instructional strategies.
Document student progress and maintain records.
Support classroom behavior management to maintain a safe learning environment.
Supervise lunch, bus duty, playground, study hall and other non-instructional areas.
Accompany students on field trips for supervision purposes.
Assist with parent contact to encourage involvement in education.
Support students with special needs to maximize inclusion and achievement.
