Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Teacher Assistant certification through RIDE or associate degree or higher.
• Evidence of knowledge and skills to perform the functions of the position.
• Experience with instructional/behavioral strategies and materials.
• Ongoing professional development and training, including adaptive instructional materials.
• Ability to learn new strategies, techniques and technologies effectively.
• Ability to occasionally lift or restrain students.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Be of good character.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers and related service personnel in delivering high-quality instruction.
• Implement behavioral plans and foster social, emotional, and academic development for all students, including those with special education needs.
• Assist with instructional strategies and materials as directed by staff.
