Job summary

Kent City Community Schools Kent City Elementary is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional 1:1 to support a student with individualized needs during a full school day. This role involves collaboration with teachers and a focus on safety, behavior, and instructional routines in a public school setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive, respectful rapport with students and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and FERPA compliance.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors.
• Participate in trainings and certifications as required.
• Engage in daily routines and procedures to support a safe and supportive school environment.
• Supervise students during lunch, recess, and transitions.
• Encourage positive peer interactions and enforce behavior expectations.
• Ensure student safety indoors and outdoors.
