Job summary

Brainerd Public Schools in Brainerd, MN, is seeking an Educational Assistant - DCD (K-4) at Riverside Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with a salary range of $16.50-$17.15 per hour.

The paraprofessional will assist with IEP goals across classrooms, the lunchroom, bus loading area, and other spaces, including daily living activities, under supervision of teachers and staff.

Qualifications

• Meet highly-qualified requirements for paraprofessional as listed.
• Experience with students with physical, cognitive and/or mild behavioral needs.
• Handle with Care training within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties in a student's IEP across multiple settings.
• Assist students individually or in groups in resource or inclusive settings.
• Provide interventions and accommodations per IEP goals.
• Collaborate with teachers to deliver instruction and monitor progress.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
