Job summary
National Heritage Academies in Flint, MI is looking for a Title 1 paraprofessional to support students in accordance with their individual education plans. Responsibilities include assessing student abilities, implementing tailored curriculum, and collaborating with special education teams. Candidates must meet state requirements for Title 1 paraprofessionals and preferably have experience with students with disabilities. The role promotes a clean, safe, and welcoming atmosphere, focusing on the growth of every student.
Qualifications
Must meet state requirements for being a Title 1 paraprofessional.
Previous experience supporting individuals with disabilities and/or behavior modifications is preferred.
Aptitude to understand and navigate technical systems.
Responsibilities
Assess student abilities and provide instructional and behavioral assistance.
Commit to educating the whole student – academically, morally, and socially.
Implement result‑driven curriculum and instruction for unique student needs.
Attend professional development and IEP meetings as required.
Assist with compliance documentation.
