Job summary

Norwalk Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator for the 2026-2027 school year in Concord. The Paraeducator supports students in their educational programs alongside a special education teacher, assisting with classwork, maintaining student records, and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Candidates must have a High School diploma or equivalency and a ParaPro Certificate, with preferred experience of working with students with special needs. This is a Monday through Friday, 27.5 hours per week role with limited benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Two years of experience working with children or young adults preferred.
• Ability to follow teacher directives related to instructional and behavioral goals.

Responsibilities

• Support students in their educational programs under teacher supervision.
• Assist with the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEP).
• Collect data on student learning activities.
