Job summary

Auburn Village School is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students under a certified teacher's direction. The role includes implementing instructional and behavioral plans, supervising students, and assisting with daily living tasks and classroom activities.

Hours are 6.5 per day for 187 days per year, with pay starting at $18.00+ per hour and prorated benefits based on start date. Questions can be directed to the Director of Human Resources.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Criminal Record Check is required per NH RSA 189:13-a.
• Pre-Employment Medical Exam required per NH RSA 200:36 and 275:3.

Responsibilities

• Implement instructional and behavioral plans, activities, and classroom accommodations as directed.
• Provide a safe environment, supervise students, and accommodate students' needs.
• Instruct and assist students in life skills, behavior, and organization.
• Repeat instructions, help with assignments, and keep students on task.
• Assist students with computers, adaptive devices, and equipment for instructional objectives.
• Assist with activities of daily living and transfers with proper training.
• Support student social interactions and participate in planning sessions as requested.
• Refer inquiries about students to the teacher and provide coverage for other paras when needed.
• Maintain home/school communication when requested and perform related clerical duties.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality per district guidelines.
• Attend training sessions, meetings, and professional growth activities as required.
