Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking a part-time paraeducator to support students with IEPs in self-contained and mainstream settings at Westbrook Elementary School in Bethesda. You’ll assist with academic, behavioral, and personal care tasks under supervision.

The role requires knowledge of instructional strategies and strong English communication, with hours from 9:00 to 3:30 and a 60-hour bi-weekly schedule. Prior experience in education settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development and instructional goals.
• Ability to implement instruction and monitor student behavior.
• Ability to communicate effectively, in writing and speech.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with IEP-related learning activities.
• Support students with personal care and medical needs.
• Provide instructional and classroom management support to teachers.
