Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Para Certificate or Post-Secondary Education preferred.
• Experience in a K-12 education system preferred.
• District may accept alternatives to qualifications when appropriate.

Responsabilités

• Assist with implementing the student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) and prepare instructional materials and equipment.
• Follow and support the Behavior Implementation Plan (BIP) and school safety protocols.
• Support personal care and hygiene needs as required by the student.
• Participate in crisis de-escalation training and implement strategies to manage challenging behavior with dignity and safety.
• Assist with communication devices and ensure access across settings.
• Participate in bus rider training and support transportation as needed.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff, and the school community.
• Attend work regularly and maintain confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
