Responsibilities

• Assist in the instruction of students with disabilities under the supervision of a certified teacher.
• Prepare instructional materials in collaboration with the teacher and under direct supervision.
• Assist with supplemental and follow-up activities to instructional content and materials.
• Participate in parent/guardian conferences when requested.
• Maintain rapport with parent/guardian and support inclusive instruction.
• Maintain classroom order by enforcing district behavior codes and classroom rules.
• Assist with classroom record keeping and operation of equipment.
• Assist with supervising lunchroom, hall and playground areas as assigned.
• Provide one-on-one assistance and help with personal care needs with proper training.
• Follow district rules and confidentiality.
