Meriden School District is seeking a paraprofessional to support students with diverse needs under supervision of teachers. The role involves academic and physical assistance, mobility support, and participation in therapy activities within classroom and school settings.

Position available for the 2026-2027 school year. Requires Para-Pro certificate, associate degree, or 60 college credits; substitute duties may be offered prior to meeting requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have Para-Pro Certificate or equivalent education (Associate degree or 60 college credits).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility.
• Record data as needed and support student instruction.
• Flexible and able to adjust to schedule changes per teachers/principal.
• Experience working with people with disabilities preferred.

Responsabilités

• Work with students under supervision of special and regular education teachers.
• Provide academic and physical assistance to promote goals.
• Assist with OT/PT routines, therapy activities, and mobility.
• Support students in all day activities, field trips, and life skills instruction.
