Chandler Unified School District 80 at CASTEEL HIGH SCHOOL in Queen Creek, AZ seeks a Paraeducator Classroom Instructional Health Aide (ABLE) for 6.5 hours per day. This full-time position supports students with moderate to severe disabilities under the supervision of a special education teacher.

Starting pay is $19.01 per hour with full benefits including PTO, holidays, retirement, health and life insurance, wellness, and professional growth credits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Title 1 schools require one of: Associate's degree or 60 semester hours or passing AZ parapro exam.
• CPR/First Aid certification provided.
• Criminal background check must be satisfactory.
• Meet the physical demands described in the job.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students with the teacher's supervision, reinforcing material for individuals or small groups.
• Translate orally or in writing for parents, students, staff, and others when required.
• Assist students with personal care needs to enable participation in school activities.
• Implement behavioral plans to support positive academic and social outcomes.
• Assist with assessments and data collection under the certified teacher's supervision.
• Maintain a safe, quiet classroom environment and follow district policies.
