Job summary

Simsbury Public Schools is seeking a caring, dedicated paraeducator to join our preschool team at Central School. The role supports students with diverse learning needs and fosters inclusive learning environments.

Schedule is 34.25 hours per week across 185 days per year, with a salary of $28.69–$30.79 per hour under the SFEP bargaining unit. Full benefits and paid leave are included.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with students receiving special education services.
• Be collaborative, flexible, and committed to fostering inclusive learning environments.
• Have completed at least two years of study (60 college credits); or hold an associate degree (or higher); or pass the ParaPathways Assessment 5757.

Qualifications

Have completed at least two years of study (60 college credits) at an accredited institution of higher education; or

Hold an associate degree (or higher); or

Successfully pass the ParaPathways Assessment 5757 in Reading, Writing, and Math
