Job summary

Southern Hills Elementary School in Wichita Falls, TX seeks a BAC Special Education Para to support students with learning activities, IEP goals, and inclusive instruction in self-contained or itinerant settings. You will work with teachers, therapists, and staff to implement plans, promote safety, and foster student development.

Responsibilities include assisting with data collection, progress monitoring, and adapting curricula under ARD guidelines.

Qualifications

• ARD/IEP process knowledge and goal setting is required.
• Experience with supporting students in ARD Committees.
• Familiarity with curriculum adaptation and safety procedures.
• Ability to document progress and maintain student records in FERPA context.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational and social development of students under supervision.
• Support implementation of IEP goals and monitor progress.
• Provide instructional assistance in various settings to enable participation.
• Collaborate with speech therapy, social work, and therapy staff as needed.
• Assist with data collection, records updates, and confidentiality compliance.
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings and prepare related materials.
• Support students with emotional or behavioral needs and develop social skills.
• Use a variety of instructional techniques and adapt material accordingly.
