Job summary

The role supports students under the supervision of Special Education Teachers and focuses on instructional assistance within self-contained and general education settings.

Responsibilities include aiding students with communication, scheduling, and behavioral plans, plus monitoring health/hygiene needs and adapting activities to reinforce learning

Qualifications

• State of Illinois license options: Paraprofessional (ELS PARA), Substitute (SUB), or Professional Educator License (PEL).
• College transcripts with 60+ credit hours or WorkKeys assessment completed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in instructional tasks in self-contained and general settings.
• Support students with disabilities within classrooms and around the school.
• Assist students with communication, scheduling, problem solving, and curriculum modifications.
