Qualifications

• Provide research based social skills instruction under supervision of certified teacher.
• Willing to attend any additional required evening trainings or meetings during the school year or during the summer.
• Willing to accept feedback from specialists and special education facilitator regarding implementation and use feedback to implement changes in instruction.
• Must have strong inter-personal skills with diverse students and ability to nurture and support them.

Responsibilities

• Provide services for special education students as needed in the special or general education setting.
• Under the direction of the special education teacher, provide academic assistance and behavior interventions.
• Attend field trips with students as necessary.
• Regular attendance to meet IEP services and ensure FAPE.
• Supervise students in classroom, lunch, and on buses; assist in general education classes as needed.
