Responsibilities

• Work with students individually or in group settings under professional staff supervision.
• Assist with supervision of students in classrooms, cafeteria, halls, and other areas.
• Implement behavior management strategies.
• May ride the bus with students and work one-to-one on tasks.
• Ensure student safety at all times.
• Assist students with health needs under nurse guidance.
• Help prepare educational materials.
• Assist students during mealtime and with personal hygiene.
• Help students get to and from buses or cars.
• Perform other duties as assigned, varying by building and district needs.
