Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks an Occupational Therapist to support students in Norwalk and Wallingford, CT, providing OT services aligned with IEP/ISP goals and potential assessments as needed.

The ideal candidate holds an OT degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s), NBCOT certification or state licensure, and can work independently with strong communication; you will collaborate with teachers and families to integrate therapy into classrooms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy per state requirements.
• NBCOT Certification and/or valid State Certification as specified in the contract.
• Ability to work independently and communicate well with adults and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy intervention for students based on IEP/ISP goals.
• Monitor student progress.
• Test and evaluate students as requested for need determination.
• Consult with classroom teachers to align OT plans with educational needs.
• Communicate with parents about student progress and home activity integration.
• Create solutions to challenges using research and professional judgment.
• Make referrals to community resources as needed.
• Complete required paperwork promptly and accurately.
• Other duties may be assigned.
