• Knowledge of music therapy procedures, strategies and equipment.
• Familiar with assessment protocols for music therapy evaluation and IEP alignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom music therapy consultations to support students with autism and other developmental disabilities that address IEP goals.
• Provide music therapy formal and informal assessments to determine needs and measure progress.
• Serve as a resource for teachers to provide professional development and consultation.
• Plan and provide PD to enhance music therapy strategies in the classroom.
• Assist in selecting instructional materials and equipment.
• Participate in ARD committee to interpret assessment data and placement decisions.
