Job summary

Grapevine-Colleyville ISD's Silver Lake Elementary in Grapevine, Texas seeks a Teacher, Special Education-Life Skills (RISE) for the 2026-2027 school year. You will provide targeted instruction and support for students with disabilities in a self-contained setting.

The role reports to the principal and requires collaboration with General Education staff, families, and a dedicated team to help students reach their potential socially, emotionally, and academically.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or required training.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum.
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate learning styles.
• Assess student progress and collaborate on IEP goals.
• Plan and supervise teacher aide and volunteers.
• Communicate with parents and staff regarding student growth.
