Job summary

Applitrack seeks a Special Education Para Professional Life Skills at Rose Springs Elementary School to support certified staff and help students meet IEP goals. This part-time position offers 29 hours per week in a school setting, focusing on instructional assistance, supervision, and inclusive practices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in school environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist students to reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, computer instruction.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning.
• Assist staff with administration and correction of classroom exercises and assessments.
• Help with classroom preparations and implementation of instructional materials.
• Maintain records documenting student learning and performance.
• Support classroom behavior management to keep a safe, on-task environment.
• Supervise students in non-instructional areas (lunch, bus, playground, study halls).
• Accompany students on field trips for supervision.
• Assist with parent contact to foster involvement in education.
• Support students with special needs to maximize inclusion and IEP goals.
• Participate in IEP processes as a resource for the team.
• Assist with activities of daily living for students with disabilities.
• Follow safety rules and procedures.
• May assist with diapering lifeskills as needed.
