Job summary

Summitview Child & Family Services is seeking a SpEd Learning Coach I to support the teacher of record and supervise special education students in a classroom setting. The role includes 1:1 and small group instruction, safety supervision, and collaboration with residential and management staff.

Travel and transportation of students to and from residential facilities is required, with flexibility to supervise at students' residences as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid, unrestricted California Driver's License; auto insurance; and valid driving record.
• Physically and mentally fit; willing to pass health screening.
• Willing to pass DOJ background check per CCL requirements.
• Experience with crisis intervention and documentation is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provides 1:1 or small group instruction aligned with lesson plans.
• Supervises students and maintains safety via behavior management.
• Assists in materials prep, attendance, inventory, and supplies orders.
• Acts as substitute teacher when credentialed and supports student outings.
• Transport students to residential facilities; can supervise at residence when needed.
• Communicates with residential and management staff; documents daily notes.
• Ensures alignment with NCASES standards and prepares for billable hours.
