Job summary

Fusion Academy, a fully accredited 1-to-1 private school for grades 5–12, seeks a Special Education Lead Teacher in the United States. You will guide our community to provide individualized academic, social, and emotional support, especially for students with learning differences.

You’ll design accommodations, train teachers, lead collaboration with parents and staff, and manage a caseload while helping recruit and support students in a growth-minded, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or certification in Educational Therapy, Special Education, or a related field (required).
• 4–7 years of experience supporting students with learning differences, ADHD, or emotional challenges.
• Deep understanding of special education processes (IEPs, 504s, ISPs).
• Proven ability to lead, train, and collaborate across teams.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Empathy, patience, and a passion for empowering neurodiverse learners.
• Growth mindset and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic, student-centered environment.

• Provide professional development, coaching, and parent education sessions on learning differences and interventions.
• Collaborate with the Head of School on admissions, ensuring each new student can thrive in our environment.
• Teach and maintain a caseload of students.
• Contribute to a campus culture rooted in connection, growth, and belonging.
