Job summary

Achieve Beyond Pediatric Therapy & Autism Services in New York, NY is seeking a Special Education Itinerant Teacher to support children aged 3–5 across Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, and Staten Island. This role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to collaborate with clinical supervisors in various settings.

Starting at $70 per hour, the position requires NYS certifications. Travel to assigned cases is expected, with a supportive team and comprehensive benefits in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Must have NYS certification/licensing as per NYS requirements (Birth–2, All Grades, or Permanent Special Education).
• Self-motivated and a team player who demonstrates patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one special instruction to children aged 3 to 5 in the CPSE program.
• Educate families and caregivers on intervention strategies to facilitate involvement and carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings including homes, family day care, daycare centers, and community settings.
• Maintain accurate service records; submit evaluations and progress reports timely.
• Prepare progress reports per program timelines.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations and submit records within deadlines.

Job Responsibilities for a Special Education ItinerantTeacher:

  o Permanent Special Education Certification
  Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:
• Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.
  

StartingRate: hourly $70.00. Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during theSpecial Education ItinerantTeacher interview process.
