Montclair Elementary in Oakland is seeking an Instructional Support Specialist (0.8 FTE) to join the special education team. You will support curriculum access, implement behavioral interventions, and assist with programs designed to help students progress toward IEP goals.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, behavior support, and data collection to inform progress. The position is 205 days per year with 6 hours per day, and opportunities for professional growth are highlighted.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work or related behavioral sciences.
• 40 hours of ABA training.
• Willingness to obtain CPI certification.
• Experience with students who have behavioral challenges and IEPs.

Mansioni

• Provide instructional support and behavior intervention to students with disabilities under supervision.
• Participate in IEP meetings and support implementation of behavior plans.
• Assist with data collection, progress monitoring and reporting to staff and families.
• Support classroom teachers with curriculum and material preparation and organization.
• Ensure safety and confidentiality of student information and maintain compliance with district policies.
