Job summary

Fulton Schools seeks a Special Education Lead Teacher to support teachers and campuses in implementing standards-based curricula for students with disabilities. You will focus on data-driven IEP development, staff coaching, and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.

Responsibilities include conducting TKES observations, collaborating with families, and leading professional development to improve literacy, math, and behavior supports across buildings.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in education or related field required.
• Valid teaching certificate in Special Education required.
• Leadership certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years teaching or related educational experience with students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Model and support staff in implementing standards-based curricula.
• Plan and deliver professional learning for staff, parents, and others to raise achievement for students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with parents and school staff for instructional decisions regarding students with disabilities.
• Routinely analyze student data to support effective teaching strategies for students with disabilities.
• Provide coaching and follow-up to advance district initiatives such as literacy, math, and individualized instruction for students with disabilities.
