Job summary

Westfield Washington School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant - Special Education Resource (Temporary) at Carey Ridge Elementary School. This 35-hour/week position supports students under the supervision of licensed teachers and focuses on individual and small-group instruction.

Responsibilities include assisting with testing accommodations, implementing behavior plans, supporting life skills, and helping with assistive technology.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; some College preferred.
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with individual or small-group instruction as assigned by the teacher.
• Support district and state testing accommodations as needed.
• Implement strategies to reinforce material or skills based on students' needs.
• Monitor and supervise student activities, including testing and makeup work.
• Assist with life skills activities, feeding, toileting, and community outings as appropriate.
