Job summary

The role involves reinforcing academic and social skills for students with IEPs, plus duties such as record-keeping, behavior support plans, and non-instructional supervision across lunch, transit and hallways.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or higher.
• Successful completion of college coursework or passing of examination as required by most recent legislation.
• Prior experience working with children desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with content materials and use of assistive technology as needed.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Prepare classroom materials and support instructional activities.
• Document student progress and behavior data for IEP-related purposes.
• Support classroom behavior management and safety.
• Supervise students in non-instructional areas (lunch, bus, playground).
• Assist in general and special education settings during field trips and activities.
