Qualifications

• Paraprofessional requirements under No Child Left Behind: associate degree, 48 college credits, or ParaPro exam.
• Reports to Principal and under supervision of classroom teacher.
• Must be able to follow lesson plans and assist in instruction.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with students.
• Aid teacher in preparing classroom.
• Instruct students under teacher supervision.
• Follow lesson plans with fidelity.
• Supervise and support students during duties inside/outside classroom.
• Adhere to student IEP and 504 plans.
• Assist with data collection for student goals.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by principal/Teacher of Record.
• Engage with students professionally during crises when needed.
