• Paraprofessionals must meet No Child Left Behind requirements: associate degree, 48 college credits, or ParaPro exam.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Assist teacher with clerical duties.
• Work well with staff and students in charge.
• Aid teacher in preparing classroom for school.
• Help prepare and distribute lesson materials.
• Instruct students under teacher supervision.
• Keep classroom neat and orderly.
• Assist with bulletin boards and activity setup.
• Supervise cafeteria, playground under teacher supervision.
• Assist with student records and copying tasks.
• Prepare classroom for end of school session.
• Maintain communication with teacher and support staff.
• Work with groups of students inside and/or outside the classroom.
• Assess student abilities and assist with data collection.
