Job summary

Anderson School District 2 is seeking an Instructional Assistant/Student Shadow for Honea Path Elementary School to support a student in a self-contained special education setting. The role reports to the Principal and involves reinforcing classroom instruction and data collection on target objectives.

The position is full-time with an 185-day calendar and includes South Carolina state benefits. For immediate placement, candidate must meet educational requirements or PorPro-aligned credentialing

Qualifications

• Two Year Associates Degree or 60 Hours of Coursework or ParaPro Assessment Test.
• Full-time employment with 185 days per year.
• SC state benefits included.

Responsibilities

• Assist the special education student in a self-contained classroom.
• Reinforce skills taught by the classroom teacher.
• Take data on behavioral, communication, socialization, and motivational objectives.
• Intervene to manage behavior problems when necessary.
• Carry out written behavior intervention plans.
• Accompany student to various locations on school grounds.
