Jordan School District is seeking two dedicated Special Education Assistants to join our team in Utah. The role focuses on instructional support, adapting lessons to align with each student’s IEP goals, and tracking progress.

Qualifications

• Must complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department, within one week of hire.
• Additional training through Special Education allows lane advancement to lane 4 upon completion.

Responsibilities

• Instructional Support & Adaptation
• Lesson Adaptation: Modify and adapt classroom materials and lessons under the guidance of the lead teacher to align with each student's learning level and goals (IEPs).
• Goal Tracking: Help monitor and support students in reaching individualized benchmarks.
• Behavioral & Physical Care
• Behavior Management: Use behavioral plans to manage challenging behaviors.
• Daily Physical Care: Assist students with daily living activities and physical care as required.
