Job summary

This position follows board-approved salary placement for 2026-2027, offering $24.52–$26.96 per hour, 187 days per year, 7 hours daily, and additional stipends of $3.50 per hour for critical need and $1.00 per hour for ECE instructional assistant duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Passing score on the Kentucky Paraeducator Exam (KPA) or 48 college semester hours.
• Willingness and aptitude to work with students with disabilities.
• Physical ability and willingness to assist with physical needs of students (positioning, toileting, lifting).
• Willingness to attend district ECE in-service for professional growth.
• Effective communication skills.
• If your highest education is High School or GED you must pass the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment Exam.
• Transcripts from outside the U.S. require credential evaluation before vacancies.
