Job summary

Overlake Medical Center & Clinics is hiring an Instructional Assistant for the Overlake Specialty School in Bellevue. The role supports special needs students, assists in developing and delivering IEPs, and works closely with the classroom teacher to supervise activities.

The position runs Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with benefits. A high school diploma plus WA paraprofessional credit is required; a Bachelor's in Education or Mental Health is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with 2 years of college credit per WA paraprofessional guidelines.
• Bachelor's in Education or Mental Health preferred.
• Experience with behaviorally disturbed or learning-disabled children preferred; experience in psychiatry or schools helpful.
• Right Response certification due within first 6 months.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required within first year of employment.
• WA driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and delivery of IEPs for special needs students.
• Support classroom teacher and supervise classroom activities.
• Provide assistance in a classroom setting at Overlake Specialty School in Bellevue.
